"Begreife/Catch" Performance 2011, made of contemporary, Grundsteingasse
The performance shows a situation of transparency and isolation in parallel. A sterile clean room bench from the scientific laboratory is the object in the performance. I step into this bench and stay there naked for 30 minutes. 8 Neopren gloves are leading into the clean room. The viewer is invited to “catch”. The performance shows the isolation of the individual, the losing of physical closeness based on technical transformation (computer, internet), the mechanization/scientification of love (Genedating, Researching the Lovepill for on and off turning of the "love gene") and the absurdity of this fact. The clean room bench gets vitalized by the artist, whereas the artist becomes the object in the object.
